SCOTT NORRIS March 16, 1965 - September 30, 2008 It is with deep sadness that we announce the sudden passing of Scott on Tuesday, September 30, at the Victoria Hospital at the age of 43 years. Scott is lovingly remembered by his wife Jennifer, mother Tillie, stepchildren Christopher, Robyn and Kyle, sisters Judy, Patricia, brother Michael (Anita), nieces and nephews Alex, Brent, Cory, Heather, Jeff, Jennifer, Julie, Tara and many other relatives. He will be missed dearly by his dog Buccaneer. He was predeceased by his father Lyle Norris. Scott worked for the past two years as a sales representative for Johnston Equipment LTD. He loved his work and took great pride in his achievements. To his colleagues, you were more than friends...you were like a second family. We thank you for allowing Scott to share in your endeavours. Scott's passion throughout life was football and basketball. His love of basketball allowed him to referee games at all levels for many years. He made numerous friends during this time. To all that remember Scott, please toss a basketball in his honour. His adoration for football commenced with playing earlier on in life to coaching, guest coaching, and finally Head Coach of the 17 and under Manitoba Provincial Team for the past two years. To Manitoba Football, your organization was Scotts second home. You've lost a wonderful person in Scott for everything that he loved to do for the sport. Thank you for allowing him to live out his dreams and may the next touchdown produce a Scott Norris cheer. He was and always will be the greatest fan of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. It was during this year that he received confirmation of finally becoming a Tampa Bay Buccaneer Season Ticket Holder. Cremation has already taken place and a funeral service will be held on Saturday, October 4 at 10:00 a.m. at the Thomson In the Park Funeral Home at 1291 McGillivray Blvd. Thank you to the excellent care and comforting words from the emergency room staff at the Victoria General Hospital. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Winnipeg Humane Society, Manitoba Heart and Lung Association or a trust fund for Christopher that is being set up at the Sanford Credit Union, Box 147, 7 Mellow Street, Sanford, Manitoba.
