Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryELIZABETH (BETTY) ROSS FLETCHER November 10, 1917 - September 26, 2008 Betty was predeceased by her husband, Bill Fletcher, and leaves her six children, Patti (Simon), Pegi (Doug), Bob (Joan), Grant (Anne), Donna (Don), Bill (Darlene); 10 grandchildren, Bill Jr. (Daria), Heather, Jennifer (Dan), Mike, Katie, Sydney, Lauren (Cory), Shannon, Ian and Devin; one great-grandchild, William Joseph, and her many friends and acquaintances of the past 20 years in Comox. Betty was born in Fort William, Ontario. Her cheery optimistic enthusiasm for life served her well, making many friends while raising six children with her husband and working for Eatons in Winnipeg. Betty and husband Bill retired to Comox in 1987, where she continued to bring her joy and zest for life to everyone she met. Betty spent her final two and one half years in St. Joseph's Extended Care Unit, where she was known as the life of the party . It was here where Mom was able to enjoy her final years with such great care and company. A Celebration of Betty's Life will be held on Saturday, October 4, 2008 at 3:00 p.m. in Comox, BC. In memory of Betty, donations can be made to St. Joseph's Hospital Extended Care Unit, Comox, BC.
