WALTER JOHN HERBERT PHILLIPS Peacefully, with family by his side, John passed away on Thursday, September 25, 2008 at Victoria General Hospital at the age of 96 years. John was predeceased by his wife, Edna, in 1996 and by his siblings, Ivan, Margaret, Lois and Mary. He leaves to mourn his passing one sister, Josephine (Barrie); sons, Ray (April) and Ross (Karen); grandchildren, Kristin Legault (Eric), Wendy Havens (Simon) and Gregory (Julie), their mother Lois Phillips, five great-grand-children, 17 nieces and nephews, special friend Simonne Morin. A memorial service will be held Saturday, October 4, 2008 at 2:00 p.m. at Thomson In the Park Funeral Home, 1291 McGillivray Blvd. If friends so desire, donations may be made in John's memory to a charity of their choice.
