FLORENCE BORIS 1926 - 2008 Peacefully on Wednesday, October 1, 2008, Florence passed away at Donwood Manor, at the age of 81 years, surrounded by her loving family. Florence is survived by loving husband Henry; daughter Eileen (Tom) Romanow; son Ken (Ruth) Boris; grandchildren, Ashley, Kyle, Melissa, Shawna and Brandon; sisters Cecile Henrie and Lea Gagne. She was predeceased by father François; mother Mary-Louise; sisters, Lucille Dumont, Irene Carriere, Alice LeBleu, Therese Forest, Jeanne Gaborieau and infant brother Edward. Florence (Flo) was born in Otterburne on November 14, 1926. She met Henry in Winnipeg and married him in 1950. They were married for 58 years and raised two children and have five grandchildren. Flo, affectionately known as Ganny, enjoyed flower gardening, providing the neighborhood children with popsicles and having coffee with her friends. Flo and Henry enjoyed many years of travel together and with their children. She will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by all her family and friends. Thank you to the staff at Donwood Manor for their loving care, to the special friends that came to visit Florence, and from the family a special thanks to our Dad, who tirelessly cared for our Mom. Prayers will be said on Sunday, October 5 at 7:00 p.m. at Cropo Funeral Chapel, 1442 Main Street. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday, October 6 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Alphonsus Roman Catholic Church, Munroe and Brazier. Interment to follow in Glen Lawn Memorial Gardens.
