RICHARD ANDERS Peacefully, on October 4, 2008 Richard passed away with his family at his side just weeks shy of his 54th birthday. Left to mourn his loss are his wife of 31 years, Heidi; children Staci, Tammy, and Justin (Jenelle); brothers, Karl (Sylvia) and Otto (Marika); father Heinz; as well as many aunts, uncles, cousins, nephews and nieces. He was predeceased by his mother, Bertha, in 1991. Richard was a devoted and caring man who always put the needs of others ahead of his own. Above all his family always came first. He enjoyed spending any amount of time with them, whether it be hanging out at the cottage, travelling and exploring new sights or attending sporting events. His greatest pride was his children and watching them grow up. In his spare time he enjoyed cheering on the Bombers and Maple Leafs; his two favourite teams. Richard's generosity and love of people led him to a career in sales. He was employed at B. Lambert Ltd. for over 30 years. Throughout his career he forged many relationships and friendships with his customers and boss Christine. As a young child, Richard accepted Jesus as his Lord and Saviour. Throughout his life he always strived to be the man God wanted him to be. Even in the midst of a long and difficult illness, Richard's faith never wavered. Though we miss him now and wish he were still here with us, we know that we will be reunited with him again one day. The family would like to take the opportunity to thank all the nurses, doctors and staff in 3E at Riverview Health Centre. Thank you for your care and support during this difficult time. Funeral will take place at Eastview Community Church on Thursday, October 9 at 10:30 a.m. Viewing will take place 45 minutes before the service. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Richard's memory to Siloam Mission.
