JULES JOSEPH WILLMAN Peacefully, on October 5, 2008 at the Gimli Community Health Center, Jules passed away at the age of 72 years. Jules is survived by his loving wife of 30 years Gertie; children Evelyne, Robert, Joel (Shirley), Fay (Robert), Ronald (Dianne), William (Lori), Larry (Barb), Arlene (Maurice) and Muriel (Dan); 20 grandchildren and one great-granddaughter Kira; brothers Charlie (Doreen), Jerry, and Eugene (Cheryl); mother-in-law Mrs. Evelyne Murray; brother-in-law Alvin Flett and sisters-in-law Gloria and Wendy; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his daughter Judy; parents Albert and Josephine Willman and 9 brothers and sisters. Jules enjoyed life to the fullest. In the spring he could be found playing golf on any green grass. In the winters he would be curling or watching his grandsons play hockey. He also relaxed in most bingo halls talking to anyone or everyone around. And in summer it was to his cabin, always keeping busy. There was never a dull moment. He cut the grass, cut the trees, painted, anything to keep busy, all the while Gertie right there with him. He was a very special man and will be deeply missed and never forgotten. Cremation has taken place and a family graveside service will be held. The family invites everyone to a Celebration of Life Tea to be held at 3:00 p.m. on Thursday, October 9 at the Winnipeg Beach Royal Canadian Legion. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to CancerCare Manitoba Foundation, 675 McDermot Ave, Winnipeg, MB, R3E 0V9. Thanks to the nurses and staff at the Gimli Community Health Center for their care and compassion in this difficult time. Gilbart Funeral Home, Selkirk in care of arrangements.
