BRUCE LINCOLN SVEINSON August 28, 1953 - October 6, 2008 Bruce, in his 56th year, second son of Lincoln and June (deceased) passed away quite unexpectedly after a short but courageous battle with cancer, at the Health Sciences Centre. Survived by the absolute star in his life, son Chase and his mother Debbie, brother Paul, his daughter Michelle and granddaughter Jordyn, sister Sheila and brother Grant. Bruce played hockey very well through his teen years and enjoyed curling, as well as hunting trips with Dad and the boys. Bruce and Chase enjoyed many camping trips together, quite a few air shows in the US and Canada and recently golfed together for Chase's first game. Bruce spent nearly 20 years in the glass business after time well spent at the U. of M. For the past six years, Bruce has been part of the production management team at Naleway Foods in Winnipeg where he made many friends and earned the respect of his coworkers. A special thanks to Pastor James Scholz and the congregation of Lutheran Church of the Redeemer. A Celebration of Life will be held at Lutheran Church of the Redeemer, 59 Academy Road at Wellington Crescent on Saturday, October 11 at 3:30 p.m. Honourary pallbearers are his son Chase, brother Paul, John Anderson, Dave Anderson, Rod Curle, Richard Lyles, Earl Chase, family, friends and coworkers at Naleways. A private interment will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, if friends so desire, donations may be made to the Lutheran Church of the Redeemer, 59 Academy Road, Winnipeg, MB R3M 0E2 or to CancerCare Manitoba, P.O.
