Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryMARILYN FRIEDA HERLICK (nee TUTTLE) July 31, 1932 October 6, 2008 Peacefully on her 58th Wedding Anniversary on October 6, 2008, with profound courage and dignity with the love of her family at her side, Marilyn Frieda Herlick passed away at the age of 76 years at the Tuxedo Villa. Marilyn will be sadly missed by her six children, Kathy Edgar, Brenda (Frank) Dyrkis, Ralph (Shirley) Herlick, Brian (Shari) Herlick, Brad Herlick and Randy Herlick. Marilyn was also blessed with 15 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren as well as many nieces and nephews. Her brother Lewis (Tina) Tuttle, sister Delores Crossett and her brother Marvin (Shirley) Tuttle, also survive Marilyn. She was predeceased by Ralph Peter Herlick, her husband of 58 years; by her parents Harold and Kathleen Tuttle and her sister June Cecil. Born and raised in London, Ontario, Marilyn met Ralph at work at McCormack's in London, Ontario. They were married in Niagara Falls on October 6, 1950. In 1957, they moved to Winnipeg and settled in the St. Boniface area where they raised their family. She was dedicated to her family and was a stay at home mom. She had many more children than her own as she also looked after children and grandchildren in her home. In her 40s, she went to work evenings at Newman McLean Law Offices where she worked for 15 years. Marilyn was dedicated to her family and was always eager to celebrate the holidays at her home and always looked forward to the birthdays, weddings and any other family events. Marilyn was an outgoing person who loved life. Her door was always open to everyone and she was always willing to help with a smile on her face. She was a role model to her family. She loved her children and all of her grandchildren. Funeral service will be held in the Chapel of Memories in Wojcik's Funeral Chapel, 1020 Main Street on Saturday, October 11, 2008 at 10:30 a.m. Interment will follow in the St. Boniface Cemetery, 917 Archibald St. We would like to thank the staff at Tuxedo Villa for the care and compassion throughout her stay since December 1997. Special thanks to Sue Kelly. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Marilyn's memory to the Alzheimer's Society of Manitoba, 10 - 120 Donald Street, Winnipeg, MB R3C 4G2. Rest in Peace Marilyn, you will be sadly missed by all of us.
