JOAN DEGAGNE (nee LOZINSKI) As the fog lifted in the early morning hours of Wednesday, October 8, 2008, Joan passed away peacefully in the presence of her family after an 18-year battle with breast cancer at the age of 54. She has been reunited with her parents, Joe and Lena Lozinski and brothers, Lawrence and Ken, who all predeceased her. Remaining to cherish many happy memories are her partner Gord Proceviat; son Shawn (Louise) Lozinski; daughter Nicholle (Lance) Reimer; stepsons, Eddie and Johnny (Stephanie) Proceviat and her precious grandsons, Arak, Marty, Hawk, Alex and Riley, also numerous in-laws, cousins, nieces and nephews. Joan was a loyal and respected employee of SunGro Horticulture for 28 years and will be sorely missed by her colleagues and customers across the continent. She had lived in Hadashville and Elma her entire life and has always been a staunch supporter of her community. Joan was always the life of the party and leaves a vast circle of friends to cherish many, many good times spent together. The family would like to thank Dr. Dubrowska, Dr. Forrester, Dr. Spence and staff at Pinawa District Hospital for their exceptional care. A celebration of her life will be held at 1:30 p.m. on Saturday, October 11 at Sobering Funeral Chapel, 1035 Park Avenue East, Beausejour with Rev. Fr. D. Leclaire officiating.
