JOHN SEMENIUK John Semeniuk born August 30, 1936 long time resident of Menisino, MB passed away peacefully in his sleep at home in his favorite chair October 5, 2008. Left to cherish his memory are his children Daphne (Albert) and Daniel (Anna) and his grandchildren Eric (Marcy), Elton, Tara, Olivia and Cody. Also mourning his loss is the mother of his children, Bernice and his siblings Steve, Elizabeth (Michael), William (Josephine), Evelyn (Maurice), Ollie, Ellen (Len), Alice, Darlene, Phyllis (Fred), Terry (Chris) and Jackie (Wayne), brother-in-law Jim and numerous nieces and nephews. John was predeceased by his son Leonard, parents Dan and Maria and sisters Linda and Anne. We would like to express our deep appreciation to our Uncle Steve for being his constant companion and helper over the past number of years. We would also like to thank his cousin Brian for sharing all of those fishing expeditions with dad and being a good friend through his retirement years. Dad we will miss your fun loving teasing and tall tails and know that you have the perfect fishing weather every day now. Funeral service will be held Saturday, October 11, 2008 at the International Christian Fellowship Church (by the border) in Piney, MB. Viewing will be at 10:00 a.m. and service will be at 11:00 a.m. Lunch at the Piney Hall and internment at Dutka Cemetery to follow. Pallbearers will be nephews Steven Semeniuk, David McCallum, Danny McCallum, Michael Gushulak, Jeffery Gushulak, Keenan Yaremchuk and cousin Brian Mydaniuk.
