PATRICIA JEAN SVEINSON On Wednesday, September 24, 2008, Patricia Jean Sveinson passed away peacefully at the Misericordia Hospital at the age of 78 years. Pat was predeceased by her husband, Goodwin ( Goody ) in 2003, and is survived by daughter Christina (Larry) Jamieson of Winnipeg and grandchildren, Tyler, Garrett, and Kjarna; son Garth (Terry) and grandson Kyle of Dartmouth; and son Eric (Sylvia) of Winnipeg. She is also survived by sister Betty-Anne (Bill) Stammers; brothers, Bill (Stasia) Limebeer, Reg (Madeline) Limebeer, and Jimmy Limebeer. She was also predeceased by her parents Everton and Edith Limebeer and step-mother Pearl; two sisters, Connie Radford and Lenora Ives; and three brothers, Albert, Bob, and David. Pat met Goody when he was attending the Ontario Veterinary College in Guelph. They were married in Guelph in 1949 and following his graduation as a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine they set up practice first in Dauphin in 1952 and then in Holland in 1957. Pat was an active member of the Holland community and volunteered for the church, many clubs and organizations, and was also the secretary of the local movie theatre. In 1974 she and Goody moved to Winnipeg. Pat's greatest joy in life was her three children. She enjoyed knitting, and had a special spot in her heart for her many pets over the years. Pat faced the challenges of her life with great courage and resolve. We will miss her wit and sense of humour. A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on October 16, 2008, at Neil Bardal Inc., 984 Portage Avenue. (entrance on Aubrey Street) with the Rev. Dr. Sharon Wilson officiating.
