GEORGE WLADYKA Peacefully at the Rideau Veterans Home in Ottawa, Ontario on Thursday, October 2, 2008, in his 93rd year. Predeceased by his wife Frances (nee Stonyk). Loved by his sons, George John (Marilyn) and Jim (Darlene). George will always be remembered for his love and concern for his family and for his generosity in giving of himself and his time to his family. There never was a better husband and father. He was always there when we needed him and he always looked after us with a loving heart and a willing hand. We are thankful for the love he gave us and the times we shared. We only hope that when he left us, he knew how much we loved and cared for him. George will forever be in our thoughts and lovingly missed by his grandchildren, Larissa, Stephanie and Blake. He will also be dearly missed by his last surviving brother Michael in Seattle, Washington. George had numerous relatives and friends who were fond of him and they will miss him very much. George was a Second World War veteran stationed in England (Canadian Army Hospital Corps). After the war, he worked at the Canadian National Railway for 33 years. Special thanks to the doctors, nurses, and staff at the Rideau Veterans Home for their kindness, consideration and excellent care of our father. Cremation has taken place and a private family funeral service was held.
