Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryDIANE OBLIK (nee HIGGINS) It is with sorrow that we announce the sudden passing of Diane on Tuesday, October 7, 2008 at her home at the age of 57 years. She leaves her husband Kenneth, son Michael, brother Jim, mother Terry (Marie) Higgins, and her sister-in-law Mary (Thomas). She was predeceased by her father Jack in 2001. She also leaves behind numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, friends and her two nieces, Lisa and Sheila Bell. Diane worked in the banking industry for a number of years but it was her work with children and animals at Six Pines that she truly enjoyed. Many will remember her portrayal of Mother Goose and many more will remember her many acts of friendship. Diane was born and raised in Winnipeg. She attended General Wolfe Junior High and Tec Voc High School. A memorial service will be held at the Chapel Lawn Funeral Home, 4000 Portage Avenue, on Wednesday, October 15, 2008 at 10:00 a.m. Diane loved all animals. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Winnipeg Humane Society or to an animal shelter of your choosing. Chapel Lawn 885-9715

Diane was my best friend growing up. We had so many laughs together. I can't believe she's left us so early in life. It's been years since her passing, but I think of her and her beloved Ken so often. I hope they are together again in the afterlife. - Posted by: Bev Zeiner (Friend) on: Jul 29, 2017

Thank you for being there for me no matter what. Your ongoing support was what I needed to get me through many stages of my life! You helped make me who I am today ! My life was blessed because of you in so many way. Miss morning phone calls to you. Your none let go hugs will forever be in my heart .Thank you for being my adopted mother.
