VILDA CLAIRE WARREN We are sad to announce the sudden passing of Vilda Claire Warren on October 6, 2008 at 67 years of age. Vilda passed away at home, with her loving animals and husband. Vilda (Stevenson) was born in Winnipeg, Manitoba on December 20, 1940. She married Richard Warren on March 16, 1961. Vilda's life was dedicated to children, family and animals. She ran a licensed day care in her home, then moved on helping run the family business. In summer she enjoyed the cabin in Whiteshell where she could be outdoors and enjoy nature. She had a big heart for animals and bred cats and found a shelter for the strays. She was also a member of Riverwood Church where she made many friends. Vilda was predeceased by her mother and father Elizabeth and John Stevenson, two sisters and one brother. Vilda is survived by her husband Richard, two sons, Darrell and Trevor (Sultan) and daughter Fawn (Rhys). Vilda had four grandsons, Richard, Billy, Huey and Airel and granddaughter Breanne. Vilda was a wonderful, dedicated wife, mother and grandmother. Many thanks to the Riverwood Church for all their help and support. A memorial service with Pastor Trevor officiating, will be held on Sunday, October 19, 2008 at 7:00 p.m. at Riverwood Church, 257 Riverton Ave. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to D'Arcy's No Kill Shelter.
