Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryMILENA MARSIC It is with deep sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of Milena on October 8, 2008 at the St. Boniface Hospital after a long and courageous battle with cancer. She will be lovingly remembered by her daughter Daniella, brother Joe (Laurie), and many nieces and nephews who were all special to her. Her loving friends from childhood Gail and Janine will always remember Milena as their sister. Many other friends including the ya yas from B.C. will be celebrating Milena's life to honor her spirit. Milena was predeceased by her father, Ivan, and her mother, Gabriella. She was survived by her aunt, Magdalina, and several cousins. Milena was born in Winnipeg on December 27, 1964 where she grew up. She later moved to B.C. where she resided for 16 years before returning to Winnipeg in April of 2007. Milena was a fun-loving and caring person who was always thoughtful of everyone. Milena loved to have a good time and was known to dance the night away. We would like to thank the doctors and nurses of the St. Boniface Hospital Palliative Care who were there and improved the quality of the last months of her life. We couldn't have asked for any better care. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, October 14, St. Bernadette's Parish, 420 Cottonwood with Father Fred Olds celebrant. Viewing will commence at 1:00 p.m. Interment will follow at Glen Lawn Memorial Gardens. Should friends so desire, donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society or the Palliative Care at St. Boniface Hospital. Glen Lawn Funeral Home 982-7550
