ALLAN HUNTER It is with a great sense of loss that we announce the passing of Allan Hunter on Tuesday, October 7, 2008 at Riverview Health Centre. Allan passed away with his family at his bedside to say goodbye to a wonderful father and grandfather. Left with fond memories are his sons, Ken (Louise) and Larry (Heather); five grandchildren, Karin (Mike) in Winnipeg, Tiffany (Tom) in Grand Forks, ND, Lindsay, Laura, and Allan (Bevin) in Winnipeg; and brother-in-law John Rudan (Marie) in Kingston. Allan was predeceased by his loving wife of 56 years Mary (nee Rudan), on August 23, 2006, and his siblings. Allan was employed by the City of Winnipeg. In retirement he was an avid woodworker, golfer, and gardener. Allan and Mary enjoyed travelling to Europe and Hawaii, and took many Caribbean cruises. He took great pleasure in the lives of his children and grandchildren, and he will be missed by all who knew him. A private family gathering was held. Special thanks to the staff of the Palliative Care team at Riverview. Flowers are gratefully declined, and if friends so desire, donations can be made in Allan's memory to CancerCare Foundation Manitoba, 675 McDermot Avenue, Winnipeg MB R3E 0V9.
