JUNE DOROTHY-ANNE ROMAS 1937-2008 It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of June Romas, loving wife, sister, sister-in-law, niece, aunt and precious friend. After a brief illness with cancer, June passed away at Seven Oaks Hospital on October 22, 2008. She was predeceased by her father, Alex Karpish, 1984, mother, Mary Karpish, 1994 and her beloved husband, Mike Romas 2005. She leaves to mourn her brother Doug (Joyce), mother-in-law Lillie Romas, sister- in- law Stella (Andy), brother-in-law Lorne (Gloria), nephew Jeffery Karpish (Lesley), nieces Shannon Sidak (Rob) children Travis, Taylor; Shelley Van Brocklin (Jim) children Aaron, Carissa & Noah; Darlene Andries (Bob) children Candace and Sheyna. We will all miss you. Also left to mourn her aunt Pauline Sawchuk and cousins Penny, Tamara and Johnny on her mother’s side and her aunt Jean Harrisko and cousin Brian on her father’s side. The family would like to thank her many friends, old and new who brightened up her life. Also a special thank you to her best friend and companion throughout her illness and life Gloria Ivory. Gloria would like to thank Dorothy Anscombe and Kim Howes for their compassion. A special thanks to doctors and staff in Unit 6 and 7 on the 3rd floor at Seven Oaks Hospital and to Dr. J. Krahn from Envoy Services. A Memorial Service in June’s honour will be held on Tuesday, October 28 at 2:00 p.m. at Cropo Funeral Chapel, 1442 Main St. In lieu of flowers, friends and family may make donations to a charity of their choice in June’s memory.
