EDNA TAYLOR It is with great sorrow we announce the peaceful passing of Edna Elizabeth Taylor (nee Green) on October 24, 2008 at the age of 91. Mom was predeceased by her husband, Patrick, son Stephen, daughter and son-in-law Patricia and Joe Simpson, and also by great-grandson Daniel Baker. She will be lovingly remembered by her daughter Alice (Bill) Baker and son Thomas. Also missing her will be her grandchildren Chris (Netty), Wade (Joyce), Dale (Lorna), Barry, Jackie (Martin), Colleen (Scott), Joe, Craig, Rob (Lynley). Mom thoroughly enjoyed hearing about her grandchildren, 10 great and 2 great-great-grandchildren’s lives, especially about their sporting endeavors. Mom was born in 1916 and grew up in Brooklands. In 1937, Mom married Dad and went on to raise four children together. Mom worked at Children’s Hospital for many years until her retirement. Mom and Dad spent many happy retirement years together in Stony Mountain. They enjoyed fishing and camping throughout Manitoba. Mom will be lovingly remembered for her edge of the seat watching of TV sports and for dogs named Buddy. The family would especially like to thank Dr. Pinniger and the staff of Rosewood Lodge for their compassionate care. In accordance with Mom’s wishes, a private family funeral is planned. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the charity of your choice. MacKenzie Funeral Home, Stonewall in care of arrangements.
