FLORENCE KICENKO (MILLER) After a lengthy illness, Florence passed away on Sunday, October 26, 2008 at the Golden Door Geriatric Centre. Florence is survived by a special family; the Harvey Household in B.C. Barbara (deceased) and George Harvey and their children Heather Crawford, Corinne Smith, Jeff Harvey, Doug Harvey and Robert Harvey, also best friend Barbara who is now married to George. Florence has some family members in Chicago and of course her friends in Winnipeg. Florence was predeceased by her loving husband William in 1999, her parents Jacob and Katherine Miller, four sisters, Carolyn (Hubert) Leith, Julia (Davis) Lypus, Minnie (John) Young and Margaret and brother Henry (Ruby). There are no survivors. Florence attended Faraday School and Machray High School. She was a longtime member of Redeemer Lutheran Church and was baptised, confirmed and married there. She was a faithful member until the church closed its doors, at which time she joined St. Luke’s – Zion Lutheran Church. Florence was employed by Boner and Bemis Bag Company for many years and then retired to enjoyed her leisure years. The funeral will be held at 11:00 a.m., Friday, October 31 at St. Luke’s – Zion Lutheran Church 2903 McPhillips Street.
