HEATHER JOY PHILIPPOT (LAVINEWAY, nee CAMPBELL) With Profound sorrow, the family of Heather announces her passing in the early morning hours of October 28, 2008 at the age of 53 after a very courageous battle with cancer. Heather is survived by her loving husband of 21 years Gilbert, and three sons, Glenn Lavineway (Tanya), Alyssa; Ian Lavineway (Amanda), Alex, Ben, and Nic; Mark Lavineway, Jack and Brody. Also survived by parents Jack and Helen Campbell; sister Sharon (Dwight Lavineway) and brothers Fraser Campbell and Robert Campbell (Angie). As well as mother-in-law Cecile Philippot, brothers-in-law Roger, Normand, Rhéal (Colleen), Daniel, Patrick (Ginette) and sister-in-law Nicole (Dan), numerous nieces and nephews and a large extended family. Heather was predeceased by her grandparents, sister Donna Lawrence, father in law Henri Philippot, and numerous aunts and uncles. Heather was born June 5, 1955 in Maple Creek, Saskatchewan, moving to Winnipeg in 1967. On completion of her education, she married and had her three boys. After raising her sons, her proudest accomplishment by far, she entered the workforce, enjoying eight years in the jewellery business. Following that and up to the time of Heathers illness she was the cook supervisor at Treherne Hospital. Her greatest enjoyment in life was spending time with her grandchildren who loved every moment with their grandma Heather. They will miss her very much. She loved to work with her hands. Crafts, sewing, sketching, gardening and baking were her favorite pastimes. She enjoyed making their St. Claude home and acreage a beautiful scene. Heather took great pride in her gardening and the upgrading of their home where she loved to entertain their family and friends. The family wishes to thank Dr. Pat Harris, nurses and staff on 4 south and 5 north at the Grace Hospital for their exceptional care during her stay. In lieu of flowers, a donation to Cancer Care Manitoba would be appreciated. A memorial service will be held at Sturgeon Creek United Church, 207 Thompson Drive on Saturday, November 1, 2008 at 1:00 p.m. We will love you and miss you forever. Chapel Lawn 885 - 9715
