THOMAS RICHARD (DICK) HOULAHAN November 29, 1943 to October 27, 2008 Peacefully in Carman Memorial Hospital, Carman, Manitoba, surrounded by his family. Beloved father of Thomas (Kylee Holmes). Predeceased by son, Timothy. Loving Papa of Zachary. Son of the late John Patrick Houlahan and Kathleen O'Grady. Dear brother of Lorraine, Florida; Ron (Joan), Ottawa; Ann Read, Kanata; Phyllis O'Neill (Gary), Kanata. Fondly remembered by Tom's mother, Linda Mayor. Much loved uncle to several nieces and nephews. Richard will be missed by many cousins and friends. Richard's sense of humor, kindness, compassion, thoughtfulness and devotion will be missed by all who knew him. Richard lived his life to the fullest. Special thanks to the kind care provided to Richard by the staff at Carman Memorial Hospital. Visitation on Wednesday, October 29 from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. at Doyle's Funeral Home, Carman, Manitoba with prayers at 8:00 p.m. Mass of Christian burial at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church, Carman, Manitoba, on Thursday, October 30 at 11:00 a.m. Reception to follow in the Sperling Community Centre. Cremation interment at St. Patrick's Church Parish Cemetery, Fallowfield, Ontario at a later date. Donations may be made to CancerCare Manitoba 675 McDermot Ave., Winnipeg, MB R3E 0V9.
