JOSEPH HUBER February 12, 1920 - October 29, 2008 It is with great sorrow that we announce the passing of our beloved husband, father and grandfather Joseph on Wednesday, October 29, 2008 at St. Boniface General Hospital. Born in Muehldorf, Germany, he immigrated to Canada with his family in 1952, and lived in Winnipeg since then. Left to treasure his memory are his beloved wife of 60 years, Therese; his sons, Rudolf (Wendy) and Manfred (April); his grandchildren, Dylan (Gina), Lee (Marcia), Anna and Emily, as well as many friends. He was a hard worker and had a passion for family life. He enjoyed gardening and carpentry and had a great zest for life. He was well known for his work in the construction field. He worked for Baert Construction and Kildare and many of the buildings in Winnipeg have Joseph's stamp on them. Hospitalized for over two weeks, he fought hard until the very end. He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him. Our heartfelt thanks to Joseph's family doctor John Peterson throughout the years, and to Dr. Gregg Eschun, the nurses and staff at St. Boniface Hospital, for their excellent care of Joseph while in hospital. The family requests that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Manitoba, 200 - 6 Donald St., Winnipeg, MB R3L 0K6. A funeral service will be held Monday, November 3, 2008 at 11:00 a.m. at Green Acres Funeral Home with viewing beginning at 10:00 a.m. Interment will follow in Green Acres Cemetery.
