MARGARET ELIZABETH INGEMAN 1927 - 2008 Margaret slipped away peacefully on October 6, 2008 following a year and a half battle with a stroke. She was predeceased by her father Frederick; her mother Hertha; and her three brothers, Rudy, Herbert (her twin) and Donald Lietzke. Left to mourn her passing are her companion and soulmate of some 30 years, André Roziére; her dear friends of note, John and Dora Houlden and Kathy Green; godson Grant Houlden, as well as her brothers' children in the United States. Margaret was born and raised in Racine, Wisconsin. Her early years were spent cooking and cleaning the family home in addition to taking care of her three brothers. 1945 saw Margaret graduate from high school. She worked for a time as a Lab Technician and went on to help run a remote hunting and fishing resort at Cliff Lake, Northwestern Ontario. 1968 saw her graduate from M.I.T. as a Medical Laboratory Technologist. She remained in that field until retirement. She was an accomplished cook and maintained a lifelong interest in art. Some of Margaret's happiest memories were of the summers spent with André in the Bird River area. Margaret was a complex person - hard working, stubborn and single-minded...a woman who lived her life with integrity, honesty and grace. Many thanks to the staff at Victoria General Hospital and Poseidon Care Home for their care and compassion. According to Margaret's wishes, cremation has taken place. The memorial service and interment took place on October 30, 2008 in Racine, Wisconsin. Condolences: www.bardal.ca
