JACQUES JOSEPH OSCAR RIVARD April 22, 1949 - October 31, 2008 It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved Jacques (Jack) on Friday, October 31. Left to cherish his memory is his best friend and the love of his life Vicki. He will be greatly missed by his family Lucille (Claude), Gilles, Marie, Faye and their families as well as his children Shawn and Renee. He leaves a hole in the hearts of his loving in-laws Pat, Lee, Linda (Randy) and Todd and their families as well. Jack was predeceased by his father Arthur, mother Cecilia and father-in-law John Stevens. Jack found his niche at Fin mac Lumber and was involved with the Union and Safety committee. He was a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles and always enjoyed a good game of pool. He and Vicki loved their time spent with Santana at Bailey Lake in Redditt, Ontario as well as trips to Cuba especially the last one where they experienced Hurricane Ike. He had many friends in St. Norbert and will be missed by them all. A special thank you to you all for your support during this difficult time. Do not be sad that he is gone but be happy that his battle is over. He would like his friends to join us in a celebration of his life on Tuesday, November 4 at 2:00 p.m. at The Fraternal Order of Eagles Club #3870, 3459 Pembina Highway, Winnipeg Manitoba. Flowers gratefully declined. Donations may be made to The Canadian Cancer Society. The family would like to thank the wonderful staff at Riverview Health Centre for their care and compassion.
