BEVERLEY DAWN JACKS Surrounded by her loving family, Bev passed away peacefully on Wednesday, October 29, 2008 at the age of 53 years, after a brief and courageous battle with cancer. Remaining to forever cherish Bev's memory are her mom and dad, Don and Dorothy Jacks; her daughters, Becky and Ashley; their father Jeff Swan and her much cherished grandchildren, Gabriel and Makenna. She is also survived by brother Allan Jacks, wife Evelyn and sons, Cordell and Don; sister Barb Davenport and husband Greg and children Talia, Taylor, and Austin; and sister, Lori Cullen and husband Mark and daughters Jacqueline and Nicola. Bev will also be missed by her Uncle Quentin Jacks, Aunt Yvonne Millar; as well as many cousins, nieces, nephews and their families for whom Bev had great affection. Born in Regina, SK on May 17, 1955, Bev resided in Burlington, ON until age 13 at which time the family moved to Winnipeg where Bev graduated from Balmoral Hall in 1973. Bev's dedication to her career at Cadham Provincial Lab spanned over 25 years resulting in long lasting friendships. One of Bev's passions was her career with Avon during which time she built a strong sales team as well as loyal friends. Bev was very proud of her daughters. She loved, supported and honoured them in all of life's journeys. She was truly the best mom. Bev was overjoyed when her grandchildren were born. They were the apple of her eye. Times spent with Amma were so special - always filled with learning, love and adventure. Words cannot describe the depth of love Bev had for Gabriel and Makenna and the impact she had on their lives. Her memory will guide them forever. Bev was a ray of sunshine. She had the ability to touch people with her hands of love and heart of gold. Some of Bev's happiest moments were spent at the family cottage at Clear Lake where love and laughter were always in abundance. Bev always brought beauty and light with her wherever she went. She was not judgmental and saw the good in everyone. Bev was part of a very closely knit family, sharing many laughs and adventures. Her smile will live on in the hearts of those she has left behind. We cannot possibly describe her life and what she meant to us. She will be sorely missed. A celebration of Bev's life will take place on Monday, November 10, 2008 at 1:30 p.m. in the Trinity United Church, 933 Summerside, phone (204) 269-1632 Special thanks to Bev's doctors, nurses and health care providers and to her spiritual guide, Milly Malavsky. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Bev's memory to Cancer Care Manitoba, 675 McDermot Avenue, Winnipeg MB, R3E 0V9 or to the Winnipeg Humane Society, 45 Hurst Way, Winnipeg MB, R3T 0R3.
