DAVID COLBERG With his son Shawn by his side, David passed away at the London Health Sciences University Hospital on Tuesday, October 28, 2008. He leaves to mourn his devoted son Shawn, granddaughter Desirae, sister Audrey (Benny Roitelman), nieces Nata, Kayla, Rena and Mahalia Arlinsky and numerous cousins. David was predeceased by his parents Esther and Massey Colberg. Born in 1945, David spent his early years in Winnipeg's North End. He moved to Saskatchewan to follow his dreams and became radio announcer Dave Cole . While working in Weyburn SK, he met his future wife Donna, the mother of his son Shawn. He later moved to Ontario and through his hard work, interpersonal skills and gift of gab, became a top sales representative with Auto Trader in the Niagara region. David retired in 1997 due to health reasons and soon moved to London ON to be near his son and the joy of his life, granddaughter Desirae. Funeral services took place in Winnipeg on October 31, 2008 with Rabbi Lander officiating. Pallbearers were Jerry Roitelman, David Glass, Colin Glass, Louis Blanaru, Joe Dutkevich, Ron Ackerman and Rena Arlinsky. Shiva is being observed November 2nd through November 4th afternoons and evenings at 204-255 Wellington Crescent. Donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation.
