PAMELA MARGARET MASON May 6, 1946 October 23, 2008 After a courageous battle, Pamela passed away peacefully at Health Sciences Centre, with her family by her side. Left to cherish her memory are her mother, Renee, sister Susan, brothers Jeff and Brad, daughters Catherine (Aaron), Sarah, son Paul and granddaughter Julia Margaret. She was predeceased by her father, L.W. (Bill) Mason. A graduate of Huron College, University of Western Ontario (1968), Pam had lived and worked in Alberta, Manitoba and Ontario. She returned to Winnipeg in 2004, where she became interested in pursuing a post-graduate degree. She was enrolled in the Graduate Studies program in the Faculty of Anthropology at the University of Manitoba. She was passionately interested in women's role in world peace and the friends she made through her studies and thesis research were a great source of pleasure and inspiration to her. Pam was loved and respected by all who came to know her. She was caring, loyal and dedicated. She had a joyful spirit which embraced all aspects of life and learning. She will be sadly missed by everyone whose life she touched. The family would like to thank the medical and nursing staff at Health Sciences Centre for their kind and expert care. A private family service was held on Monday, October 27, 2008 at St. Benedict's Retreat in Winnipeg.
