DAVID POWNALL On October, 31, 2008 with family and friends at his side, David Pownall passed away peacefully after a courageous battle with Leukemia. The rock of his family, David was someone you counted on for strength, laughs, and many Sandy Hook adventures, he will be dearly missed. David was predeceased by his birth mother Isabella Pownall, daughter Lora, father and mother-in-law Edward and Vera Gladu and brothers in-law Reginald Lewis and Gary Gladu. He will be dearly missed by his loving wife Lori, son Kevin, daughter Teri-Marie (James), grandsons Joshua and Caleb, parents Stanley and Lillian Pownall, brother Kent Pownall (Sharon), sister Barbara Pownall (Rob Walchuk), sister Janet Pownall, brother and sister-in-law Edward (Valerie) Gladu and numerous nieces, nephews and close friends. David was born and raised in Winnipeg. After high school, David worked at various jobs before joining his father in the family plumbing business which he and his wife proudly ran together. Dave could often be found tailgating at a Bomber game with his Dad, cruising garage sales for the next great find, playing with his favorite toys (his quad, snowmobile and boat), or driving around in his truck looking for a place to hide his new treasures from Lori. A special thank you goes out to the staff on GD6 at HSC for all their hard work and loving support. Funeral Service will be held Friday November 7, 2008 at 11:00 a.m. at Redeemer Canadian Reformed Church 15 Bates Avenue. In lieu of flowers please make donations to the David Pownall Memorial Fund at the Winnipeg Foundation 944-9474 or Cancer Care Manitoba. GLEN LAWN FUNERAL HOME 982-7550
