HANK VAN BRUGGEN Our Pa, grandpa, great-grandfather and great-great-grandfather passed away the morning of October 30, 2008 at the age of 94 years. Pa was predeceased by his loving wife Cora of 65 years. Also by his grandson Kevin and great-great-grandson Jacob. He is survived by his son John (Ruth); daughters, Magda Griffin and Debbie (Nick) Zervakis, both of Edmonton; his grandchildren, Cory, Joann, Maria, Heather, Sandy, Lisa, Amanda, Emmanuel, Christina; great-grand-children, Micheal, Crystal, Lorin, Marin, Rain, Nick, Stephan, Leo, Quinton, Joshua, Zane, Vittoria; great-great-grandchildren, Zachery, Dominic, Elizabeth and Scarlet. Pa was born in the Netherlands on June 24, 1914. He was the eldest in his family of one brother and two sisters who all predeceased him. He married Cora in 1939 and immigrated to Canada in 1954. He farmed in the Starbuck, Marquette and Meadows areas for over 40 years. The last four years he has resided at Charleswood Care Centre as his health and well being started to decline. We would like to thank the many friends (many who are deceased) who visited our parents over the years. We would like to extend a special thank you to Ria Van Der Zande who faithfully visited Pa in his final years. We would also like to thank Charleswood Care Centre. Funeral service will be held on Wednesday, November 5, 2008 at 1:00 p.m. at MacKenzie Funeral Chapel in Stonewall. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Alzheimer Society of Manitoba, 10 - 120 Donald St., Winnipeg, MB R3C 4G2. MacKenzie Funeral Home, Stonewall in care of arrangements.
