WILLIAM (BILL) REIMER October 30, 1922 - November 2, 2008 On Sunday, November 2, three days after his 86th birthday, our husband, father and grandfather was called to his heavenly home. He leaves to mourn his passing his faithful and loving wife of 55 years - Henrietta (nee Schalla); son Randy (Mary Anne); daughter Bev (John) Schroeder, their children, Evan and Dana, Dylan and Stephanie; son Don (Becky), their son Dustin and three sisters-in-law. Bill was predeceased by his parents Henry and Margaret Reimer of the Altona District, five brothers and three sisters. He is now reunited with his family. Bill worked in the grain business for 40 years, starting at the Altona mills and retiring from UGG at Ste. Anne in 1985. For the last two years, Dad has been blessed by the caregivers at St. Adolphe Nursing Home and Bethesda Place. We have witnessed your laughter, loving hugs and your appreciation of his sense of humour. You treated dad with so much dignity and respect. For this we thank you. A special thank you to Dr. Kaethler for your compassion and care and encouraging words. Viewing was held at Birchwood Funeral Chapel, 150 Penfeld Dr., Steinbach on Tuesday, November 4 at 7:00 p.m. with devotional at 7:30 p.m. The funeral service will be held Wednesday, November 5 at 2:00 p.m. at St. Paul Lutheran Church, 465 Henry St., Steinbach with interment at St. Paul Lutheran Church Cemetery. Due to allergies, flowers are gratefully declined. Donations in Bill's memory may be made to the St. Paul Lutheran Church Memorial Fund or to Bethesda Place, 399 Hospital St., Steinbach, MB R5G 0E6.
