KATHERINE SCHNERCH January 14, 1919 November 1, 2008 It is with great sadness the family announces the passing of Kay, at the Betel Home in Gimli, MB. Kay was born in Berlo, MB second child of Adam and Mary Emerich. She is survived by daughter Sylvia Scherbak of Moose Jaw, SK; sons Jim of Toronto, ON, Edward (Eileen) of Balmertown, ON; sisters Lucy, Margaret, Magdeline and Anne; brothers Tony and Edward; grandchildren Lynn, Cheryl, Cathy, James, Kasey and Cori; great-grandchildren Brandon, Brooke, Dalton and Kennedy; and special daughter Marianne. She was predeceased by husband Matt; daughter-in-law Jane Schnerch; son-in-law Matt Scherbak; sister Mary; and brother Joe. The family would like to extend a special thank you to the Staff of Betel Home and Dr. S. V. Patel for their wonderful care and support. Prayers will be said on Friday, November 7, 2008, in the Gilbart Funeral Chapel, Gimli, MB, at 7:00 p.m. A Funeral Mass will be held on Saturday, November 8, 2008, in the St. Michael's Roman Catholic Church, at 10:30 a.m. with Fr. Art Seaman officiating. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Betel Home Foundation, Gimli, MB or a charity of your choice. Gilbart Funeral Home, Gimli in care of arrangements.
