SOPHIE DANKO (nee SHULSKI) October 12, 1913 - October 12, 2008 Peacefully, on October 12, 2008, at the Concordia Hospital, Sophie Danko, aged 95 years, of Narol, MB, beloved wife of the late Michael Danko. Lovingly remembered by her son Marvin (Sandra and Bayron) of Columbia; grandson Mark (Michelle) and great-grandsons Adam, Jonah and Noah; granddaughter Karen Furtado; daughters-in-law Rose (Fern), Maura (Sandy), and sister-in-law Pauline Kolton; along with many nieces, nephews, and friends. Sophie was predeceased by her sons, Donald and Lawrence; brothers Tom, Alex, Nick, William, Walter Shulsky and sister Anne Boskey. Sophie enjoyed the life she shared with Michael, and doing things for her family and friends. She spent much time in prayer and loved going to church and being involved with the Holy Trinity Community. Sophie loved singing and entertaining her family and friends with her many stories, and wonderful cooking. In recent years, she especially adored her great-grandsons. She enjoyed her stay at her Hope Haven home' and all the loving care she received from the staff there. A special thank you to River East Personal Care Home. Thank you also to Father Chorney and the staff at Concordia Hospital. Vespers will be held on Thursday, November 6 at 6:30 p.m. in the gathering room at River East Personal Care Home, 1375 Molson Ave. Memorial Mass will be held on Friday, November 7 at 11:00 a.m. at Holy Trinity Church, Gonor, MB, with Father Chorney officiating.
