It is with great sadness that the family of Skeifa Leonard Burke Sr., age 48, announces his sudden passing on Sunday, November 2, 2008. Skeifa was predeceased by his father Leonard. Skeifa is lovingly remembered by his mom Gudelda, children: Skeifa Jr., Ashley (Mom Angella) and Camille, brother Ewan (Jackie), sisters: Blossom, Monica (Noel) and Sandra, Aunt and Uncle John and Phyllis Taylor (in Winnipeg) and numerous family members and friends. Skeifa was born on August 7, 1960 in Jamaica and immigrated to Canada in 1991. His passion was music and the sport called cricket, and he always had a desire to serve the Lord. Service of Thanksgiving will be held at Charleswood Gospel Temple (Perimeter Hwy. and Roblin Blvd.) on Saturday, November 8, 2008 at 2:30 p.m. Interment and reception to follow at Chapel Lawn Funeral Home, 4000 Portage Avenue.
