WILLIAM KIST
Born: Jul 22, 1922
Date of Passing: Nov 02, 2008
Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryWILLIAM KIST July 27, 1922 - November 2, 2008 When the earthly arrangements were completed Dad was chosen for his next trip. With his family at his bedside Life's journey has come to an end, now I can sleep in . Dad is survived by his wife, Eileen and children Cheryl (Fred Ranacher), Tim (Gwen), Ted (Christine), and Jodi (Greg MacDonald). His legacy also includes grandchildren Krista (Kobus Schwartz), Lisa (Dennis Sanchez-Caro), Jared, Tylar, Tierney, Ryan, Turnar, Mitchell and Taylor and great-grandsons Simon and Sebastian. He was predeceased by his parents Mary and Tony and son Tom. With all our hearts we thank the staff at Riverview Health Centre, Palliative Care, 3 East, for gracefully and respectfully easing Dad through his painful journey. The nursing team led by Linda D. and her colleagues Lorraine, Arlene and all the others that were there when the buzzer rang are the best. Doctors McClure and Shell gave us guidance and a care plan to provide the requisite level of dignity and comfort. We'd be remiss if we didn't add Barb, Carol and the other aides that tended to all aspects of Dad's daily routine on a consistent and caring basis. We are also very grateful to Dr. Daeninck and his care team at Cancer Care Manitoba for trying everything possible to defeat the disease and manage the pain. Peace and rest are yours forever, Pop. We love you and miss you. A private family memorial service was held with Reverend Deacon Linda Stokes officiating. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the Canadian Cancer Society or the Shriners Hospital Transportation Fund. NEIL BARDAL INC. 949-2200 nbardal.mb.ca
