LOIS R. GARRON (MERSEREAU) It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our dear wife, mother and grandmother Lois, on November 2, 2008, after a brief stay at St. Boniface Hospital. She fought a courageous battle with cancer and outlived all the odds, for that we were very grateful. Lois is survived by her husband of 46 years Paul, daughters: Susan and Lynn (Carey); grandchildren: Christian and Cameron, who will all miss her dearly. Also surviving are sisters Ruth and Martha (Vern) and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her mother and father Vera and Frederick; brothers Albert and Donald; sisters Edna and Edith. She was born on May 14, 1927, in Hampton, New Brunswick and lived there until moving to Winnipeg where she met and married Paul. She worked at the Manitoba X-ray clinic for many years, until her retirement. Her greatest love was her grandchildren, all of the family vacations, gardening and planting flowers. Many special thanks to her palliative care nurse Tammi-Lee who provided her with great care and comfort; even when she was well, she still loved her visits and to Maureen at CancerCare MB, St. Boniface Hospital. In keeping with Lois' wishes cremation has taken place and a memorial service celebrating her life will be held at 1:00 p.m. Friday, November 7, 2008, in Coutu Funeral Chapel, 680 Archibald St. The Coutu family in care of arrangements: E.J. COUTU CO. FUNERAL DIRECTORS 680 Archibald St. 253-5086
