Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryEVA FEDUNIW Eva Feduniw (nee Hnylycia) peacefully passed away on Monday November 3, 2008 at the Riverview Health Centre in Winnipeg. She was born April 08, 1930 in Hubbard, Saskatchewan to parents Tatiana and Nick Hnylycia. Having been born on the farm, Mum worked hard doing the necessary chores that needed to be done but as she grew she wanted more in life so at an early age she decided to pack her bags and venture out to the big city of Winnipeg. There she found employment, met her future husband Nick and decided to start a family. Life was not easy in those days, so when we started going to school Mum went back to work and ended up at Readyfoods, where she retired after 24 years of faithful service. Both our parents were members of Sts. Vladimir Olga Cathedral where Mum was involved in the Women's League for a number of years. Eva was predeceased by her husband Nick Feduniw, sister Mary Pazerniuk (Peter), as well as five brothers Nick, Joe, Mike, Bill and Alex and brother-in-law Harry Lashyn, and sister-in-law Elsie Henlisia, and nephew Brian Noga. She is survived by daughters Nancy (Peter) Friesen and Lydia Feduniw. She is also survived by her sisters Ann Lashyn of Saskatoon; Effie Stacyszyn of Amherstburg, and Helen (Kurt) Burkett of Winnipeg. Brothers Henry Henlisia (Lucy) of Yorkton, and Harry Hnylycia of Ituna. Mum is also survived by sister-in-law Olga Hnylycia of Moose Jaw, cousins Lawrence (Marie) Gilleta of Moose Jaw; Walter (Ruth) Hnylycia of Winnipeg. She also leaves behind numerous nieces, nephews, and great-nieces and nephews, not to mention a few great-nieces and great-nephews that have sprung up in the past few years. She will be sadly missed by her dear friends Rose Ilyniak, Olga, Joyce, Aniela, Stashka otherwise known as Golden Girls, plus a lot more others too many to mention. Pani Evita will also be dearly missed by the Little Family that we adopted when they arrived on Canadian soil many years ago. Prayers will be sung on Sunday, November 9, 2008 at 7:00 p.m. at the Metropolitan Cathedral of Sts. Vladimir Olga, 115 McGregor St. Divine Liturgy will be celebrated 10:00 a.m. Monday, November 10, 2008 also at the cathedral. Interment to follow in All Saints Cemetery. The family would like to thank the St. Boniface Cancer Care Dept., Dr. Shojania, and his assistant Maureen, and the wonderful nurses that were on board when Mum was going for Chemo Treatments. We would also like to thank the staff and nurses at Riverview Health Centre-Palliative Care ward for making her stay there as comfortable as possible. Your compassion and hard work offered Mom the quality of life that was needed during Mom's final moments on this Earth. Mum, I will miss you as my friend, my companion on those shopping trips where we would venture out on, but most of all I will miss my Dear Mother as my mentor. I will never forget you and you will always be in my heart forever and ever, Lydia. Nancy would also like to thank everyone for their love and support during her final year. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the Ronald McDonald House or the Children's Wish Foundation.
