KA WAN SHUM On Saturday, November 1, 2008, Ka Wan left this world peacefully in his sleep at the Health Sciences Centre. Ka Wan was born on November 8, 1910 in Toisan, Guangdong, China. Before coming to Canada, he had a bicycle shop and worked at the City Park of Toisan. He also mastered the art of Kung Fu. He is survived by his loving wife of 64 years Chau Sim; daughters Angela Lau, Jenny Yip (Chang), Annie Wu (Peter); grandchildren Tinlong, Colin, Farley, Lynn, Simone, Cammy, Timon; and sister Sui. Many heartfelt thanks go out to Parkview Place Staff for the loving care of Ka Wan and the Health Sciences Centre Staff on GD3 for taking care of Ka Wan in his remaining days.
