Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryLAWRENCE (LARRY) DEBLAERE Peacefully, with family by his side, Larry passed away on Tuesday, November 4, 2008 at Victoria General Hospital. He will be missed by his loving and caring family, wife Mary Lou of 57 years, son Larry Jr. (Dawn), Christa and Tom, son Keith (Heather) of Abbotsford, Dianna (Jason), great-grandsons, Alex and Max of Vancouver, Michael of Calgary, son Kerry (Sandra), Roland (Sarah), great- grandson Jack and son Shane. Also surviving him is his brother Dennis (Claudette), sister Yvonne (Bachart) Walter, sister Marlene (Kreitz), Stan, cousins, Michael and Kenny Boyak, as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Larry was employed by Canadian National Railways for many years as a freight conductor. His many interests included watching and participating in sporting events. He was a member of the St. Boniface Golf Club for many years and playing with and being with his family and grandchildren was also something he enjoyed. The family would like to thank the doctors and nurses at Manitoba CancerCare, Victoria General Hospital, and Lakewood Medical Centre who cared for him. He was predeceased by his parents, Mary (Boyak) and Emeric DeBlaere and sister Joyce Baert. Cremation has taken place and a service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, November 12, 2008 at Glen Lawn Funeral Home, 455 Lagimodiere Blvd. (south of the Royal Canadian Mint) and a Bible based talk on the resurrection will be given. Mary always came over to visit me and her sister Barbara when I was a child. I remember her smile the most. She was always so happy and full of life. Also to her son I want my red toy truck back.
