Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryTREVELYAN WILLIAM JAMES PERCY June 11, 1936 - November 02, 2008 It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Trevelyan William James Percy at the Selkirk and District General Hospital on Sunday, November 2, 2008. Trev was born in Winnipeg and was predeceased by his wife of 33 years, Patricia (nee West). He leaves to mourn his passing son Timothy, daughter-in-law Kathy; three grandchildren, Sam, Alex and Nicolas; his brother Derwin and sister Pam. Trev was a well rounded professional with many diverse experiences and began his working career on the CP rail line; he then went on to law school at the University of Manitoba, later working as a family lawyer. After many years he pursued a career as a stockbroker at Richardson Greenshields and Merrill Lynch. He then worked as a teacher at Nelson Mac High School. Finally, Trev became a businessman opening his own restaurant named Timothy's before retiring. Trev was also an active volunteer at the Canadian Taxpayers Association. Trev enjoyed spending time with his family and especially his grandchildren. He loved keeping up with world news and current affairs. He often reminisced about his cabin at Victoria Beach and the time he spent there with his family. Trev was a very knowledgeable man with a keen wit and a good sense of humour. He was often heard saying to his four year old grandson I had one but the wheels fell off . Trev recently moved to St. Clements to be closer to his family. He was a good father, grandfather and friend. A private family service will be held in his honour at Victoria Beach. Thank you to the Selkirk EMS and Selkirk Hospital emergency staff for their caring support. You never asked for anything, Not really, You were happy in your comfy chair, With your newspapers, coffee and a little peace and quiet, My quiet comfort, just knowing you were there, Now your chair sits empty, I walk past and you're not there, Not there, where you're supposed to be, Your grandson asks where you've gone, I say you're everywhere. Gilbart Funeral Home, Selkirk, in care of arrangements.

You can now heal quickly, move on , and live the happy life which you have always longed for. Soon enough--we will be together again at Victoria Beach. See you at the lake!
