Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryOLIVE LUNDSTROM Surrounded by her family, Olavia Pearl Lundstrom (nee Johnson - Adelsteindottir) passed away on October 11, 2008 at The Convalescent Home of Winnipeg at the age of 93. Beloved husband, Rickard Lundstrom, who passed away in 1995, was the love of her life and partner in their adventures together in Red Lake, Ontario and other mining communities. She is survived by her loving daughters, Sonja Lundstrom (Boris), Christine Beaulieu (Raymond) and Linda Lundstrom (Joel). She will be sadly missed by her grand-children, Linnae MacKenzie (Douglas), Deanna Lundstrom (Michael), Marc (Shona) and Serge Beaulieu, Moshana and Sophie Halbert and her great-grandchildren Lochlan and Erik MacKenzie. Olive was born at Beaver Dam Lake and predeceased by her parents Steini and Margaret, brothers Joseph, Freeman, Christopher, Stanley and sister Thelma. Farewell with love to her twin sister Fjola (Violet), sisters Louella, Grace, Freda and Audrey, brothers Helgi and Leonard, sisters-in-law Edie, Blanche, Kathy and Metta and brothers-in-law Henry and Earl and all her nieces and nephews and dear friends. A true pioneer in Red Lake, Olive was a pastry chef, coffee cup reader, a fabric and fashion consultant, owner of Cochenour Fabric Centre, the designer of Lover's Mitts, Past President of Catherine Place Tenant Council, an honorary member of Vasa Lund, and Vice President Linda Lundstrom Inc. Hers was a journey of grace, which summoned all her courage to pass through this life. She completed her last moments by speaking to all her grandchildren by phone to tell them how much she loved them and to say goodbye. Cradled in the arms of her family, she faced her death as she did her life, with dignity and love for others. Our thanks to the loving care provided by Dr. Nicole Caron-Boulet, Home Care Services, Catherine Place, and The Convalescent Home of Winnipeg. Funeral service was held Wednesday, October 15th at St. Mary's Road United Church with Rev. Susan Tough officiating. Memorial donations may be made to St. Mary's Road United Church - 613 St. Mary's Road, to continue their mission of helping others in the community.
