DONNA DURRANT July 30, 1940 November 7, 2008 After a long courageous battle with cancer, we announce the passing of our wife, mother and friend Donna. She will be forever missed by her husband of 49 years, Rick, her daughter Sandy (Lloyd), son Allen (Tamara), grandchildren Chad, Bailey (Rob) and Kyle. She also leaves behind her sister Verna, sisters-in-law Gwen (Charlie), Rose (Bill) and Colleen (Jim) as well as many nieces and nephews. Born and raised in Bashaw, Alberta, Donna and her family moved to Winnipeg in 1968. Living away from their hometowns, Donna and Rick surrounded themselves with wonderful friends. Many weekends were spent camping in the summer and snowmobiling in the winter. Tarryall Resort in Ontario was their summer retreat for 38 years and they made many lifelong friends there as well. A memorial service will be held at Glen Lawn Funeral Home (455 Lagimodiere Blvd.) on Thursday, November 13, 2008 at 2:00 p.m. A gathering of family and friends will follow in the reception centre. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Donna's memory to CancerCare Manitoba.
