DALE ELLIOT FRANKLIN March 6, 1960 - November 8, 2008 It is with heavy hearts we announce the peaceful passing of Dale Elliot Franklin, with his family by his side, on November 8, 2008 at the Riverview Health Centre at the age of 48 years. Left to cherish Dale's memory are his beloved mother and father, Lorraine and Denis Franklin, his (little) sister Pam (Brian), and his brother Duane (little bro); nieces Dawn, Bethany, Delaney and great-niece Brynn, as well as many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. Also mourning Dale is his long-time companion Beatrice. Dale was born March 6, 1960 and grew up in Transcona. He attended Radisson Elementary School, John Gunn Jr. High and TCI. Dale was a gifted athlete and excelled in baseball and hockey. He was lucky to have his father as a coach. He worked in the electrical field for many years, and had a talent for home renovations as well. He was very enterprising, and was a very hard worker. Dale's big passion was music. His love for the bass guitar started at a very young age when he tried to play his dad's. Strains of Smoke on the Water could be heard from a block away. Dale was a talented musician, and loved everything about it. He made many great life-long friends as a result, whether they were band mates, or friends sharing his passion. Family meant everything to Dale. He loved his family with all his heart, and unconditionally. Even in his hardest times, his love for his parents and brother and sister was absolute. He simply adored his four nieces, whom he called Munchkins one, two, three and four. Nothing lit up his face more than a visit with, or even a new picture of any of his precious munchkins. The long talks Dale had with his mother will never be forgotten, nor will his hugs, smiles and jokes. Dale could always make anyone smile. He would do anything for anyone, without even considering the cost to him. No matter what circumstance he was in, he always felt he could help someone else who was in greater need than he. Prayers will be held on Wednesday, November 12, 2008 at the Wheeler Funeral Chapel 211 Regent Ave.W at 7:00 p.m. Celebration of Dale's life will follow on Thursday, November 13, 2008 also at the Wheeler Funeral Chapel at 2:00 p.m. Interment to follow at the Transcona Cemetery. The family would like to thank the Health Sciences Centre and the Riverview Health Centre for all of their care they gave to Dale. In lieu of flowers donations may be made in Dale's name to Cancer Care Manitoba. Dale's passing was sudden and has left us heartbroken. We pray for his spirit to sustain us; we know he is our angel forever. FUNERAL ARRANGEMENTS IN CARE OF: WHEELER FUNERAL CHAPEL 211 REGENT AVE. WEST AT(Bond) 224-1525
