They do everything together Dave and Kay Koga KATHRYN KOGA (nee SAKIYAMA) Peacefully following a lengthy illness, it is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Kathryn Koga aged 74, on Sunday, November 9 at St. Boniface Hospital with her family by her side. She was predeceased by both her parents and brothers, Shigeo, Mel and Min. She will be lovingly remembered by her husband David, children Tracy (Kevin), Ward (Susan), grandchildren Garrett and Adam, Davis and Catherine, sister Miyo, brother Al, sister-in-law Kay Sakiyama and nephews Grant and Rod Sakiyama, and numerous friends. Kathryn was an avid curler she was part of the St. Vital Curlettes and the Pembina Curling Club. She also belonged to numerous volunteer committees, she truly touched so many people. A Celebration of Kathryn's life will be held on Friday, November 14, 2008 at Fort Garry United Church, 800 Point Road at 11:00 a.m. Following the service the family invites everyone to join them for a gathering of friends at Southwood Golf and Country Club, 101 Markham Road. It is advised that you park at Southwood Country Club first, and car pool if possible to the church since parking is limited. Family would like to thank Dr. Wong and St. Boniface Palliative Care, Dr. Roland Hayward, and her guardian angels Helen, Muriel, Anne, Arlene, Barb and Maxine. If friends so desire, donations can be made in Kathryn's memory to Cancer Care Manitoba, or Palliative Care unit at St. Boniface Hospital.
