BENNO TEICHROEW Suddenly and peacefully at the Pembina Place Mennonite Personal Care Home on Monday, November 10, 2008 at the age of 88 years, our beloved father, grandfather and great-grandfather went to be with his Lord. Dad was predeceased by his beloved wife (Dora), his brother (Harold) and his sister (Vera). He leaves behind to cherish his memory, his four children, Audrey (Elmer), Robert (Anne), Laura (Warren), Eric (Trish), five grandchildren, Trevor (Nancy), Kevin (Shanon and great-grandsons Braedyn and Kaelum), Katheryn, Julia, and Brian. Also to mourn Benno's passing are his sister Tillie and many sisters and brothers-in-law. For most of his working life, Benno was the butcher at the Co-op store in Gretna. Benno's faith was an important part of his life as demonstrated by his involvement with the Church and 15 years as a Sunday School teacher. He had many hobbies but gardening was his real passion. For the past 15 years Benno struggled with mental illness. His fight is over now and we can take comfort in knowing that he is finally at peace. Benno will be sorely missed by all who knew him. A celebration of Benno's life will be held on Friday, November 14, 2008, 2:00 p.m. at Glen Eden Funeral Home, 4477 Main Street with Pastor Lisa Enns-Bogoya officiating. Interment and reception to follow and viewing will be held one hour prior to the service. Our family wishes to express their sincere gratitude for the care provided over the years by the staff at the Pembina Place Mennonite Personal Care Home and the Fort Garry Care Home. In lieu of flowers, donations in Benno's name may be made to the Heart and Stroke Association. Glen Eden Funeral Home 338-7111
