IAN BENJAMIN DAVID (MERCREDI) COOK October 23, 1986 - November 9, 2008 Tragically on November 9, 2008, in Grand Rapids, Manitoba, Ian Benjamin David (Mercredi) Cook was taken from this Earth to be with our Creator at the age of 22 years. Ian was the youngest Son of Veronica Mercredi and Raymond A. Cook. He was the baby of his family and even at 22 years old Mom still called him Baby . He leaves to cherish his brief but beautiful memory; his Parents, Veronica Mae Mercredi and Raymond Albert Cook; His Sister Alison and brother-in-law Mal, whom he was living with in Churchill, Manitoba; His brother Adrian Fonz ; Sister Bobbi Rae (Doug); Brother Raymond Ray . He also leaves behind his four nephews, Alison's boys, Darius and Dominick Ballantyne and Adrian's boys, Xavier and Jaden Travers-Mercredi. Ian spent much time with the boys playing video games, wrestling or just hanging out. He was like a big brother to them. He leaves behind his Paternal Grandparents Ben and Nellie Cook; Paternal Aunts, Darlene (Wayne) and Beverly. Paternal Uncles, Dennis, Harvey-James (Madeline), Farron (Diane), Jeff, Albert (Carla), Benj (Cynthia) and Joey Cook. Ian is also survived by his Godmother Shannon Robinson and Godfather Allan Mercredi; His Maternal Uncles, Clifford, Kenneth (Eileen), Jonas, Joseph Joe and Allan (Debbie). Maternal Aunties, Sally (Ian), Suzette, Cora (Dave), Martha (Colin) and Madeline (Harvey-James). His Special Cousins who were his bro's Isadore Cook, Harvey-James Cook Junior , DeVaughn Lavallee and Stephan Angelo Lavallee. Also a special Aunt Aggie, she gave Ian a second home. Last but not least, his beloved dog Tiny . Ian will be joining in Heaven his Maternal Grandparents Isidore and Josephine Mercredi, Maternal Aunties, Alice Auntie Al , Roseanne Toostie and Eva, also his Paternal Uncle Byron Cook; Cousins, Barry and Christopher, Dora, Keeson and Angelina. Ian will forever be remembered as a quiet and gentle soul, fun loving and kind-hearted and he will always be Mom's Baby Ian will also be remembered by his nicknames, Beatle Juice , Beatle and Beats . Wake services will begin at 9:00 p.m. on Thursday, November 13, 2008 and will continue until Friday, November 14, 2008 at the Roman Catholic Hall in Grand Rapids, Manitoba. A final viewing will be held prior to the service. Funeral service will begin at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, November 15, 2008 at the Roman Catholic Hall in Grand Rapids, Manitoba with cremation to follow. Active pallbearers will be his cousins, Derek and Jason Mercredi, DeVaughn, Stephan and Dillion Lavallee, Adam Munro, Ray Lavallee, Chris Robinson, Keegan and Isadore Cook, his uncles, Farron and Joey Cook. Honorary pallbearers will be his nephews, Darius, Dominick, Xavier and Jade, Bro's, Fonz and Ray, his sisters, Alison and Bobbi, brothers-in-law, Mal and Doug, Godparents, Shannon and Allan, along with his Auntie Aggie and Auntie Martha, Auntie Debbie. Thank you to all of you who have shown your support in word or in deed. Having our Son, Brother, Uncle, Grandson, Nephew and Cousin taken from us so suddenly is truly unbearable. We don't know where we would be without your help and support For Baby With Love From Mom... You never got to achieve your dreams My Son, So many things were left Undone. Your Smiling Face is what we'll always see... Forever in our Memory. Honest, Kind and Gentle, So thoughtful in your own way. You're gone, But Never Forgotten...
