ROBERT JAMES OWEN (UNCLE BOB) Uncle Bob passed away after a short illness on November 3, 2008 at The Royal Alexandra Hospital in Edmonton, Alberta. Bob was born in Winnipeg on December 14, 1922. He lived in the north end during his youth, and attended Machray and St. Johns Schools. Upon his return from the Air force in 1945, he moved to North Battleford, Saskatchewan. His career in the lumber business kept him on the move, living in many cities including Regina, Vancouver, Toronto, Calgary and finally retiring in Edmonton, where he had many dear friends. He will be sadly missed by his sisters Orla Camp and Joyce Stay, and his nephews Gordon (Andrea) Camp, Brian (Debbie) Camp and his niece Beverley (George) Brown, and his many great nieces and nephews. For many years, Uncle Bob returned to Winnipeg to spend Christmas with his family. This was a special time for everyone. He was a very generous man, and never forgot a birthday or special occasion.
