VERNA ANNE KEIN It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our dear wife, mother, grandma and great-grandmother. After a six year journey with cancer, Verna peacefully passed away in the presence of God, her family and Pastor Laurel on November 13, 2008. She was predeceased by her father Ben Loeppky, her stepfather Jacob Warkentin, her mother Marie Warkentin, her sister Lorraine Toews and her infant great-granddaughter Jenna Lee French. Left to forever cherish her memory, is her husband Albert of 60 years; her children, Lynda (Dennis), Gayle (Garry), Brad (Stacey); grandchildren, Chad (Alison), Janine (Elvis), Jaime (Jeff), Jeremy, Reid and Taylor. Great-grandchildren, Blair, Colton, Jaya and Arianna. Her brothers, Bob (Shirley), Gerald (Noreen); and sister Carole, as well as numerous nieces and nephews and dear friends. Mom's greatest joy was her family. Mom and Dad showed us the meaning of commitment, respect and the unconditional love that a couple can share. She also loved and touched many young children as a teacher. Even once retired, she never stopped teaching as a mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and as a friend. She taught us quietly through her example many of life's lessons. The greatest of these being her unfaltering faith in God that gave her her strength. Our other legacy to carry is the unconditional love you gave to all of us. Thank-you Mom for loving us so well. You gave us roots and wings . Funeral services will be held, Monday, November 17, 2008 at Emmanuel Lutheran Church in Emerson at 2:00 p.m. It is with grateful hearts that we thank Dr. Kolakowski, Dr. Woelk, and the wonderful staff at CancerCare Boundary Trails. In lieu of flowers, if friends and family so desire, donations may be made to the Emmanuel Lutheran Church Memorial Fund in Emerson, Manitoba.
