Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryALMA MAY October 21, 1919 - November 11, 2008 It is with sadness that we announce the sudden passing of Alma May on Tuesday, November 11, 2008 at the age of 89 years. She was predeceased by her loving husband of 54 years Stanley on September 25, 2007, father; John, mother; Olga, sisters; Edna and Margaret, brother; Harvey and her nephew Donald. Alma is survived by her sister; Freda Hause, nieces; Beverley Hause, Donna Wills and Margaret Lacho, nephews; Bill Wilson, Ken Hause, Rick Smith, David Wills and their families. Alma was born in Lydiatt, MB and moved to Winnipeg with her parents at a young age. She worked briefly at Drewerys Brewery where she met Stanley, and spent many years after with the W.T. Rawleigh Company. Alma liked to host family functions, especially showers, and was famous for her cheesecake. Alma and Stan took great pride in their cottage at Lakeshore Heights where they spent a lot of time together and made many lifelong friends. Alma loved to walk and was in amazing physical condition throughout her life. She was a feisty lady with a unique sense of humour and her one liners would keep anyone on their toes. Alma's final months were spent at Kildonan House where she was just getting to know staff and residents. She enjoyed her short stay there very much. A memorial service will be held at Glen Eden Funeral Home, 4477 Main Street, on Monday, November 17, 2008 at 2:00 p.m., with the celebrant Donna Sorokowski officiating. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made in Alma's name to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Manitoba, 200-6 Donald Street, Winnipeg MB, R3L 0K6. Glen Eden Funeral Home 338-7111
