JOHN THOMAS (JACK) BOHN On Sunday, November 9, 2008, Jack Bohn, formerly of Dacotah, Manitoba passed away at the Grace Hospital at the age of 93 years. Born on October 31, 1915 in Waldersee, Jack settled in the Dacotah area as a young man. Jack married Alice (nee Alarie) in 1941 and is survived by Alice and their children, Beverly (Jim), Marlene (Garry), Wayne (Carol), Alan (Christine), Dennis (Carolyn), Ritchie (Tannis); ten grandchildren and one great-granddaughter. Jack is also survived by his sister Freda Bailey, and two sisters-in-law Lillian and Louise and numerous nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by brothers, Paul and Walter and sisters Ruth and Ella. Jack served overseas during the Second World War, farmed in the Dacotah area and worked at Canada Cement for many years. He loved working on projects in his shop and worked on various machines for neighbours in the area. He was a real character with a great sense of humor. At Dad's request, a private family service and interment of ashes will be held at a later date. The family would like to extend their thanks to the staff of Deer Lodge (4T) for providing Jack with a loving home for the last six years. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Jack's memory to the Heart and Stroke Foundation, 200 6 Donald Street, Winnipeg, MB, R3L 0K6.
