AINSLEY ASHTON Ainsley passed away peacefully after a long hard fought battle. He was a kind and loving father who was generous and giving. He leaves to mourn his daughter Vincentia (Vinny). Yvonne, Marla, Junie and Pokes , estranged wife Rosalie, special friend Mary, sister in law Norma, close friends Veronica, Blanche and Lillian and other relatives and friends. Ainsley immigrated to England from St. Vincent, West Indies in 1953 where he worked as a carpenter. Then he immigrated to Canada with his family in 1967 and continued to work as a carpenter until his retirement. Thank you to Merle and Allison for your emotional support and physical support at Dad's bedside. Thanks to the staff of 5E at St. Boniface Hospital for your care and compassion. To Cathy Hill (shift coordinator), Pat Yamada (PCM) and staff at Riverview Health Centre for their kindness and support. Also, thank you to Rev. Ian Peterson for being there and for your insight. Funeral service will be held Saturday, November 22, at 2:00 p.m. in Thomson In the Park Funeral Home, 1291 McGillivray Blvd. with viewing one hour prior to service.
